5 Things You Should do Every Morning

5 Things you should do every morning.

1.       Make your bed. No explanation needed here. If you make your bed every morning you will have accomplished the first task of the day. Making your bed will also reinforce the fact that little things in life matter. It doesn’t have to be perfect and who doesn’t like coming to a clean made bed?

2.       Hydrate. First thing in the morning, we are dehydrated from all those long hours of sleep and whatever you did the day before. Drink your glasses of water, but also add lemon, cayenne pepper and apple cider vinegar to get the internal body going or lemon and sea salt.

3.       Meditation. A morning meditation will set the tone for your entire day and help you to be focused, content, and optimistic. Try to set aside 15 minutes a day first thing in the morning. If you need to, start with five minutes and work your way up.

4.       Movement. This is not meant to take away from your workout. Try some light stretches, Yoga or a 10 minute HIIT workout.

5.       Gratitude journal and intention for the day. Write three things you are grateful for each day and set your intention or goals for the day. This will help you start the day on a positive note and will add purpose for the things you do throughout the day.
